YIN YOGA & REIKI WORKSHOP

FRIDAY 1st November | 6 - 8:30pm | Join Anna O'Keeffe and Davee Gadban for this deeply restorative and healing experience that will soothe your nervous system and bring about balance to your whole being. Allow us to guide your body into a state of rest and digest, where your body knows how to heal itself naturally through a powerful yet relaxing combination of Yin and restorative Yoga poses with hands-on Reiki. In this deeply nurturing experience, we will begin with a cacao ceremony and meditation. Ceremonial-grade cacao has been used for centuries as a natural heart-opening plant medicine. It can assist with improving the circulation of blood and contains mood-elevating compounds. Davee will guide your yoga class, offering a sequence of postures that will allow the body to release undigested emotions and blocked energies via the meridian system, and deep within the fascia of muscles where the body is known to hold stress and tension. As you hold these poses Anna will move around the room giving hands-on (optional) Reiki, primarily focusing on the head and back body. Reiki is a Japanese spiritual practice that is deeply restorative and engages the body's parasympathetic response (rest and digest), gently reminding your body how to return to balance. This is a unique opportunity to experience a Yoga Nidra class in Wollongong including Reiki and energetic healing. Yoga Nidra, invites you to journey through the layers of your subconscious and allows you to drop into a deep state of relaxation.
